Nigel qualified as follows: B Ec. (Syd.); LLB (NSW); LLM (Hons.) (Syd.) Fellow, International Society of Barristers. He has been in practice as a Barrister since 1981 and appointed as Senior Counsel 1996. His experience includes being Assistant Commissioner, ICAC, re Grains Board Enquiry and representing regulators and regulated before commercial administrative tribunals, e.g. AAT, CALDB and Sydney Stock Exchange. His primary areas of practice include commercial litigation, both civil and criminal (prosecution and defence), and IT and convergent technologies. He has been an advocacy instructor for barristers and trainer of expert accounting witnesses. He is also an occasional lecturer on technology in practice, to the bar and interested lawyers generally, including the economics of trade practices regulation. He is a member of Wentworth Chambers. He is experienced in technical accounting and IT as it applies to the law in practice management and has been involved in many civil and criminal cases.
