After 10 years in practice in Melbourne with and with a large U.K. law firm as a lawyer and Senior Associate and 18 months as a Senior Lawyer with ASIC in its National Insolvency Coordination Unit, Stephen came to the Bar in May 2005. In 10 years at the Bar Stephen has developed a practice specialising in insolvency (both personal and corporate), commercial litigation, debt recovery and construction law. He appears in all Courts and Tribunals at both trial and appellate level. Stephen’s clients include insolvency practitioners, companies, directors and large and small businesses. Stephen relishes the prospect of achieving efficient and practical outcomes for clients wherever opportunities for them exist. Outside the law, Stephen has been active in his local basketball club both as a coach and volunteer administrator over recent years. He enjoys listening to and collecting music, is a keen follower of cricket and has been a lifelong Hawthorn supporter. He is willing to avoid discussion of football out of respect for others.
